Privacy
Your information, handled simply.
We collect only what a service request or a job application actually needs, we keep it on systems we control, and we never sell it. Here's exactly how it works — in plain English.

Who we are
This site is run by Eich Brothers Automotive, serving Evansville, Newburgh, Melody Hill & McCutchanville. If you have any question about your information, reach us anytime at 812-329-2696 or through our contact page.
What we collect
There are only a few ways we collect anything, and each one is something you choose to do:
1. When you request service or contact us
The booking form asks for your name and a phone number (so we can reach you), and optionally your email, your vehicle, the service you want, a preferred date, and any notes you add. That's the whole list — we don't ask for anything an auto-repair appointment doesn't need.
2. When you apply for a job
If you apply through our careers page, we collect your name and phone number, and optionally your email, the position you're after, your experience, and a short message. We use it only to consider you for the role and to get back to you. The form doesn't ask you to upload any files.
3. When you use our vehicle tools
Some pages let you look up recalls, owner complaints, safety ratings, or specs for a vehicle. When you do, the make, model, year, or VIN you type in is sent from our server to public government and automotive data services (for example, the U.S. government's vehicle-safety database) to fetch the answer. That's vehicle information, not personal information — your name isn't attached to it, and the request goes through our server, so those services don't see who you are.
4. Basic, anonymous site analytics
So we can see which pages are useful, we record simple, non-identifying events — a page view, which buttons get tapped, the type of device (phone vs. desktop), and an approximate region that your browser's network already reveals. A random session tag ties one visit together. We do not store your IP address, your name, or anything that identifies you personally in analytics.
Why we collect it
Only to run the shop: to respond to your request, schedule and complete your service, consider job applicants, answer the vehicle questions you ask, keep an honest record of who booked what and when, and understand which parts of the site help people reach us. Nothing else.
We don't sell your data
We have never sold, rented, or traded your information, and we never will. There are no advertising trackers, no marketing pixels, and no data brokers on this site.
Your booking or application is stored on infrastructure we control (Cloudflare, our hosting provider). When you submit one, we use Resend to email the request to ourselves so we see it right away. The vehicle-lookup tools call public government and automotive data services, as described above. Those are the only outside services involved, they're used only to run the site, and none of them receive your information for their own advertising. If you click out to our social profiles, those sites are governed by their own privacy policies.
How long we keep it
We keep booking and application records only as long as we need them to serve you, consider you for a role, and keep a basic business history. If you'd like your information removed, just ask (see below) and we'll delete it. Anonymous analytics aren't tied to you and aren't kept beyond what's useful for improving the site.
Your choices
- Do-Not-Track / Global Privacy Control: if your browser sends a Do-Not-Track or GPC signal, our analytics record nothing at all for your visit. We honor it automatically — you don't have to do anything.
- See, correct, or delete your info: call us at 812-329-2696 or use our contact page, and we'll show you what we have, fix it, or delete it. Since we don't sell data, there's nothing to opt out of.
- No account needed: you can browse the whole site without giving us anything. We only get your details if you choose to book, apply, or message us.
Cookies
We don't use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. The only data stored in your browser is what's needed for the site to work and for the simple, anonymous analytics described above.
Children
This is a service for vehicle owners. The site isn't directed to children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Changes to this policy
If we ever change how we handle information, we'll update this page and the "last updated" date above. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
